Her last recording was released in 1994. A year and a half in the making this one is appropriately titled "It's About Time". A total of twelve cuts, the first nine include her regular line up of players (known as Collage) playing five Royce Campbell compositions, two of Cathy's own and two more co-written by the pair. Gary Walters on keyboards, Steve Dokken bass, Phil Brines drums, and Kevin Kaiser percussion along with Royce Campbell on guitar comprise the effort. Bassists Randy Melson and guitarist Sandy Williams contribute to these tunes also. Totally produced by Cathy, the stylistic parameters on these selections cover high energy dance grooves, slow funk, Latin, pop and even Cajun. Cathy says, " I am very happy with this album because so many issues were stretched out: the arranging, the production, the playing, musical styles...even the art work! I also love being able to share a different side to my playing on the end of the album!" And different they are. The last three cuts on the disc definitely put Cathy in a less common musical place. Cut #10, "Timeless" is a duo piece written by and performed with pianist Monika Herzig of the band Beeble Brox. An almost classical piece stylistically it takes the listener to a different musical world also shared with Peter Kienle, guitarist (and Monika's husband) and Randy Melson on cut #11, the metronomic puzzle "Time At Risk". Finally the last tune was recorded with The Mathematicians, an acid jazz group.
